So I just finished up the final 4 sketch cards that I am doing for Sadlittles and their Essence of Fairyland card set coming out in 2010. All that is left to do now, is the base card for the set. Once that is completed, I will be completely finished! Unfortunately, I cannot show any of the cards here on the blog until release, but there will be some in my new sketch card artbook I am going to start doing this month.
This Friday on my webshow, I am going to be releasing to everyone through all of my channels of communication the name of the sketch card sketchbook I have been working on, and a release date will be announced as well. Pre-Orders for the book will begin in January, so that folks that want a copy will be able to get their hands on one. This book will be the first small independent press book made, and created by Obsidian Studios, so I am very happy and excited about it. Those of you that have helped me along the way, don't be surprised if you get a free copy in your mailbox or something. Anyways, that is the latest Obsidian Studios news for now. Be sure to come back regularly for more news and information!

Sketchin It w/ Ian Walker $10 Friday!!!
My marathon shows which I will now begin to call $10 Weekends were a big success. I made a small, but nice amount of cash on Saturday and Sunday night, and I will definitely do this again. Be on the look out for the scans of the cards on my forum posts. The prices are now back up to $25 each for full color PSCs and I am always open for commissions. HOWEVER!
I will be online on January 1st to start the year off with a kick in the mouth, and do a $10 Dollar Friday Night during my U-Stream show, Sketchin It w/ Ian Walker. All night I will be taking more $10 full color commissions, so get your list ready. If you would like too have some done, get your list made, and send it to me so that I can get my list made and ready for battle. I will then need to have you guys all pay for your sketch cards by Friday night. Then I will be swamped with stuff to do for the night! Be sure to get these requests in, because after Friday night, I will not do the next $10 weekend for a while! So get in where you fit in NOW!!! So here are the rules...
1.) Price is 1 full color sketch card for $10 EACH. And total shipping is $2. There is no limit as to how many cards you can get.
2.) Send a note to me here on DA with what character(s) you want so you can reserve a spot on the list, and send the PayPal payment to: darkmyster@gmail.com. PUT DOWN WHAT YOU WANT TO HAVE DONE AND AN ADDRESS IF THERE ISN'T ALREADY ONE. This is the biggest and most important thing.
3.) Your name will be on the list, and you must have your payment sent by this coming Friday. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
4.) I will do commissions based on who pays, and if you do more than one card, though I may not do them all live, but I will try my best to make sure you guys see it being done. Most likely, I will be on that night later than the normal 9:00 sign-off.
5.) Spread the word!
=============================================
So with that said, I hope to see you all there on Jan 1 2010! Hope to hear from you all soon, and the LIST IS OPEN NOW!!!

New ETSY Store for Obsidian Studios
So in my continued efforts to get myself to APE Con in San Francisco this coming year, I have set up a store site for Obsidian Studios which is officially live now. On the site has all of my original artwork, and sketch cards and other merchandise. I will be putting most of that stuff up on my site, and some of it on my eBay site when I decide to run a sale or something. Right now, there are 16 different pieces of artwork, as well as my sketch book Black & White: HEROES. That sketchbook is at a limited run of 25 copies on the ETSY site.
Soon, the website will be up, and there will be a link to the store as well. But for right now, go ahead and take a look to the direct site.

The Road to APE Con 2010!!!
So right now, Obsidian Studios is on the move, and I have a goal. I would like to debut Obsidian Studios to the world for the first time in 2010 at the APE Con in San Francisco. But there is one hurdle... Money! I have no job currently, and am in need of funds. So right now, there are some items on my personal eBay page, and I am personally taking $10 sketch commissions. I am putting together a sketchcard sketchbook which will showcase the best cards I have done this year. Once this product is available, we will make it available for you all to purchase with deals and other things as well. Below is the graph for the road to APE Con. I will update you regularly as time goes on, and the cash is made. In the meantime be there tonight on another episode of Sketchin It' w/ Ian Walker tonight on U-Stream at 5:00 PST!

Cyber Monday Reviewed / Black & White: Heroes
So I guess you could say that my Cyber Monday sale was a success if you count most of my stuff being sold. It's amazing what people will pay attention to when the price is so dirt cheap. The Green Lantern sketch card set I have been trying to sell is finally gone, but sold for MUCH less than what I wanted to sell it for. I think next year I'm going to revise the way I do my sales. I shot myself in the foot by not charging shipping in the US. Oh well. Hopefully this year I can work hard and get some clout and more recognition as an artist. We shall see over time.
I still have my 2008 sketchbook for sale Black & White: Heroes. It's a 24 page sketchbook with drawings of various superheroes done in graphite, marker and other media all in black and white. There is a limited number of these sketchbooks as I will no longer be printing them after they are gone. There are now officially 29 copies left. If you would like a copy, please send a tell to me on my Deviant Art page over on http://darkmyster.deviantart.com or at the Obsidian Studios page: http://obsidianstudios.deviantart.com
Here is a look at the sketchbook itself for those of you that are interested...

You guys can probably tell that my style has changed quite a bit since 2008. But that is what sketchbooks are for, right? Progression. Anyway, there will be a new sketchbook available soon, and an artbook in the works as well. So stay tuned on the site here for all the info you will need to see what I am doing, and what I am doing within Obsidian Studios, the one man band!
Talk to you soon!

New Artwork from Sketchin It...
Probably the most views happened tonight on the show. Tonight's theme was Fairies, so I hope that there will be some artwork for the jam this week. I want to say thank you all so much for showing up. I really appreciate it. Now for the artwork. I did two sketch cards, the first is of Spock from the Star Trek series, and then Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly. Hope you guys enjoy them!
Be sure to attend next week guys as I will continue taking commissions, and doing more concept artwork for Obsidian Studios new projects. Perhaps some White Ninja Guy as well! We shall see.
There are tons of new things in the works right now for the future of Sketchin It. I am hoping to have my first live guest, and interview on the show and to have them join us in sketching, and perhaps doing some artwork live along with me. I really appreciate the feedback and the loyal attendance every week. This has been an enjoyable month for me and it has been a joy to do this show. It has done better than I even imagined. And I have you guys to thank for this.

New Sketch Cards... Cardstock & Artwork!!!
Yeah, so I decided to follow the advice of some deviants over on Deviant Art, and instead of paying mass amounts of cash to have custom sketch cards made for me, I made them myself. To test them out, I did a few pieces, but these two pieces are the ones I am the most proud of. Let me show you!
They look so good, and I am so proud! If anyone is looking at this blog, let me know what you think, will you!? These are the official cards of Obsidian Studios, and so there it is!
Talk to you all soon!

Welcome to the Obsidian Studios Blog!
We welcome you to the Obsidian Studios Online Blog. On our blog, we will be showing you new and exciting things happening within Obsidian Studios which will be new videos, and behind the scenes look at upcoming projects, and other things. As well as contests and the like. So with that said, our first video here is a video of a new secret project that is in the works. Mind you all of the concept work here is not yet finalized, it is just in the conceptual stages. But we wanted to make this video to show you that we are working hard to get this train moving, and something for our Moonwatchers to look out for!
Also, the new page for White Ninja Guy is up and ready to go as well. We are now on our 9th page, and after this, the story will take a more serious tone as it really gets moving a long. If you would like to take a look at our webcomic, go to http://www.whiteninjaguy.com The comics are archived as well incase you need to catch up from the beginning, or need some information on the beginnings of the character. We want to thank you in advance and welcome to our online blog of Obsidian Studios. Your comments and feedback will be MUCH appreciated!
